Course Description:  This session will provide an overview of the Food and Nutrition Services regulations at 483.60, with an emphasis on the review the most commonly cited requirements related to Food and Nutrition Services. Strategies to avoid citations related to Food and Nutrition Services will be emphasized through discussion of: Actual citation examples, Strategies for successfully managing the survey process & understanding the critical element pathways used to guide surveyor investigations, & implementing survey preparedness activities to prevent Food and Nutrition Services citations.

Please note, for administrators, you will need to sign up for a NAB CE Registry Number

  • The NAB CE Registry is the first of its kind and will be free of charge to long term care licensees. This system will enable you to track both CE approved by NAB’s National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) and non NCERS approved CE. Once your license is due, you simply release your registry to your state board/Agencies(s) electronically. Signing up for a registry is easy. Individuals can simply visit https://www.nabweb.org/ceregistry
    • If you do not currently have a NAB user account (which is different from your exam account) you will need to choose “Not a Member? Sign Up!” Once you are signed up for a NAB account, you will have access to your CE registry.

Please note, for Nurses who are trying to receive hours

  • Nurses  who are logged onto the webinar for the full amount of time will receive 1 hour through the Kentucky State Board of Nursing. You must complete the survey at the end of the webinar and type a digital signature to receive credit. Please note SCHCA has no control over the requirements and will not be able to retroactively assist you if you do not complete the requirements.
