DON Playbook Webinar Series: Managing Discharges Against Medical Advice (AMA)

Course Description: Facilities are now a year into implementation of the 4/28/25 CMS Appendix PP Regulatory Revisions. This session will assist the Nursing Leader to verify that they have all of the required components in place to address discharge regulations pertaining to residents who leave Against Medical Advice (AMA). Emphasis will be placed on assessments for AMA risk, communication of AMA events, and essential documentation to support facility compliance with the 2025 regulatory revisions.

The NAB CE Registry is the first of its kind and will be free of charge to long term care licensees. This system will enable you to track both CE approved by NAB’s National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) and non NCERS approved CE. Once your license is due, you simply release your registry to your state board/Agencies(s) electronically. Signing up for a registry is easy.
