2024 Gold Quality Award Workshop

Achieving excellence and receiving recognition as one of the best in long-term care is challenging. Gold Quality Award recipients represent an elite group who meet all of the demands of the Baldrige Criteria. SCHCA, in partnership with several state affiliates, presents a Gold Quality Award virtual workshop series to help you identify and prevent the five most common reasons for not earning a site visit. Mastering the performance excellence fundamentals, creating your application plans, and refining your application skills will give you a head start on your 2024 Gold Award Application.

VIRTUAL EVENT

This workshop will be held virtually on Swoogo over the following dates:

• Session 1: August 8 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm (ET)
• Session 2: August 15 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm (ET)
• Session 3: August 22 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm (ET)
• Session 4: August 29 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm (ET)

Additionally, optional office hours will be held August 27, November 19 and January 7 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm (ET)

SPEAKERS

Our Speaker this year is Cathy Bergland. Cathy is the lead consultant for CB Leadership Group, an organization focused on Leadership Development, Intercultural Competence, and Performance Excellence. Cathy has more than 35 years of experience in older adult services, serving at Presbyterian Homes & Services in various facility and corporate based functions. She also has 15 years of experience with the Performance Excellence Criteria with both the state of Minnesota and AHCA/NCAL, where she is a Board member, Judge, Trainer, and Examiner.
