Course Description: Falls remain one of the most frequent adverse events in skilled nursing facilities and are a key focus of QAPI and regulatory oversight. This presentation examines how an effective QAPI program can be used to reduce fall risk, prevent repeat falls, and improve resident outcomes through data-driven decision making. Participants will explore regulatory expectations, performance monitoring, root cause analysis, and sustainable improvement strategies that integrate interdisciplinary teamwork, staff accountability, and continuous monitoring. Emphasis is placed on moving beyond compliance to measurable, ongoing quality improvement.
