Course Description: Functional status and the ability to help SNF residents achieve and maintain their highest practical level, while preventing functional decline, are important factors for many QMs. With the transition to section GG self-care and mobility tasks for functional assessment, there is an increase emphasis on the accuracy of this data for both short stay Medicare beneficiaries and long-term residents in developing resident-centered care plans aimed at maximizing function and preventing decline. This course will provide strategies for enhancing functional outcomes through best practices, resident centered care, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
