Course Description: Falls and accidents are the leading cause of litigation for post-acute care facilities. It is imperative that providers effectively demonstrate that they’ve met both regulatory requirements and the standards of care related to fall risk reduction and have appropriately addressed falls when they occur. This fourth session in reducing litigation risk series will review the elements of a successful accident/fall management program including the components of what constitutes an “unavoidable” fall or accident, intervention considerations and documentation strategies.
