Course Description: A critical element of risk management is completing and documenting thorough investigations of accidents, incidents and allegations of abuse or neglect. In this second session of the Litigation Risk Series, the detailed components of a comprehensive investigation process will be explored. Tips for successful interviews will be discussed and strategies such as “re-enactments” will be studied to guide the facility through implementing effective and detailed investigation processes. Examples of common pitfalls and how to overcome them will be discussed.
