What to expect the next 6 weeks during The Restorative Nursing Excellence: Revitalizing Programs and Restoring Function After COVID-19 Webinar Series

 

Held on April 22 at 2:00 PM Eastern

KBN Approved Contact Hours: 1 hour each session

Target Audience: Nursing Home Administrators, Directors of Nursing, Nurse Managers, Restorative Staff, CNA’s, and MDS Nurses

Speakers:  Jessica Cairns, RN, RAC-CT, CMAC and Kristen Walden, MSN, RN, RAC-CT

Course Description:  This session of the Restorative Nursing Series will focus on the introduction of restorative nursing programs (RNP) by reviewing program fundamentals including the types of programs, RAI definitions and regulatory requirements. The importance of restorative nursing related to improving quality measures and attaining and maintaining each resident’s highest practicable function is establishes. The role of restorative nursing in meeting the needs of residents with a history of COVID-19 infection with residual deficits will be discussed.

Please note, for administrators, you will need to sign up for a NAB CE Registry Number

  • The NAB CE Registry is the first of its kind and will be free of charge to long term care licensees. This system will enable you to track both CE approved by NAB’s National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) and non NCERS approved CE. Once your license is due, you simply release your registry to your state board/Agencies(s) electronically. Signing up for a registry is easy. Individuals can simply visit https://www.nabweb.org/ceregistry
    • If you do not currently have a NAB user account (which is different from your exam account) you will need to choose “Not a Member? Sign Up!” Once you are signed up for a NAB account, you will have access to your CE registry.

Please note, for Nurses who are trying to receive hours

  • Nurses  who are logged onto the webinar for the full amount of time will receive 1 hour through the Kentucky State Board of Nursing. You must complete the survey at the end of the webinar and type a digital signature to receive credit. Please note SCHCA has no control over the requirements and will not be able to retroactively assist you if you do not complete the requirements.
